More on stouter.tech
stouter.tech started as a project for my girlfriend's father.
Earlier in 2023 (about March time) I was learning about Technology in college and was just about to end the semester. My girlfriend's father asked for a website as he couldn't do it so he payed me $50 to look into it.
I first did the website on a content platform and then realized I needed more flexibility for what I was making. So I learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to see what I could get up too. This is part of the code for this website in fact.
Stouter was thought of when I realized that maybe some people might need what I am learning, so I made a website to test what I could do. Here are some of the books that I wrote in to understand HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Putting stouter.tech together was a chore as this was my first big scale site that I made. This was fitted with SEO in mind, so using correct tags and different semantics was a major priority.
Having made the website now and tested it, I found myself in a problematic situation. How am I supposed to let others see my site securely and at any hour of the day? The answer was figuring out the Networking side of things.
Learning about HTTPS and how the internet works when it comes to client-server relationships was an eye opening experience. It really gave me a great look into how we interact with the internet and what is underneath the hood.
There are also a good number of moving parts for this like SSL Certificates, Learning the Domain Name System, Learning the draws of Search Engine Optimization and why it's important to Google and other companies, and so on.
Having this foundation, I started to advertise my services by making business cards, putting my links on my social media, and talking about my services with potential customers.
← Titan Masonry LLC.
One of these customers being Titan Masonry LLC. I used the same principles for stouter for this business in Louisville, Kentucky and they seem to like it very much and thats always good.
With more and more practice, I feel as though I can do better and better. Stouter's initial website is due for a revamp as I feel as though I learned more over the past couple of months but working for others is where I have been primarily putting my time.
This is currently where I'm at with stouter.tech. With college and other life duties calling my name, It's been slow coming but insightful. If you made it down here then consider contacting me with the information below, Thank you!
